24/7 season tickets (formerly general season tickets)

If you regularly travel on HVV services we offer a range of bargain-price weekly and monthly season tickets as well as the supersaver AboKarte direct-debit travel pass: It pays to travel with an an all year pass, since it works out about 20 % cheaper than monthly season tickets, even when you subtract the time you are away on holiday.
The date of validity for monthly and weekly season tickets, as well as corresponding upgrade tickets for Schnellbus limited stop/1. class services may be chosen at your convenience, e.g. from Tuesday to the following Monday, or from the 8th of a month to the 7th of the following month.
All 24/7 season tickets and Supplementary tickets are valid until services officially terminate on the last day of validity indicated. The services officially terminate at 0600 of the following day.
No problem at all – the few steps to your weekly or monthly season ticket
An HVV season ticket always consists of a customer photocard and a corresponding voucher indicating the period of validity.
- First select the ticket type you require and the area of validity as shown in the HVV Fare Zone Plan. Or enter the mask for our HVV Timetable Information service and let the assistant guide you to the right HVV season ticket just for you.
- If you do not yet have a customer photocard we will be glad to issue one to you at any of our HVV service centres. Just bring along a passport photo you’d like us all to see.
- Once we have issued your customer photocard and the corresponding voucher indicating the period of validity you are free to travel on HVV services.
That’s all you have to do. The easiest and most convenient way to buy your voucher week for week or month for month is at our HVV Online Shop or in person at any HVV customer service centre.

Supplementary ticket
If you intend to travel beyond the area of validity specified on your season ticket you will need to buy a supplementary ticket (Ergänzungskarte).
Transferability
Season tickets are not transferable.
Advance purchase
All season (or period) tickets can be purchased up to 2 months in advance at any HVV service centre or via the Onlineshop.
Possibility to accompany the holder of a standard Abo-Karte direct-debit travel pass
At the weekend and on statutory public holiday a standard Abo-Karte* entitles you to travel within fare rings ABCDE, eg on a ferryboat trip along the River Elbe, irrespective of the area of validity specified on your ticket. On top of that 1 adult and 3 children up to 14 years of age inclusive can accompany you free-of-charge.
* only applies to standard 24/7 season ticket direct-debit travel passes, not the concessionary travel passes issued to school children, trainees, apprentices, students and senior citizens or to off-peak season ticket and monthly tickets.
Sozialkarte (Welfare Ticket)
Citizens of Hamburg can get a subsidy of 20,40 € per person and month towards the cost of HVV monthly and annual subscription season tickets as well as on the ProfiCard from the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg with the Sozialkarte.
