Dual training courses

Your employer must participate in the ProfiTicket programme and pay a subsidy towards the hvv Deutschlandticket for apprentices/trainees. 

Full-time vocational training at a college

If you are doing a full-time course of vocational training at a college, this subsidy will be paid by the City of Hamburg  or the participating administrative district.  The prerequisite is that the place where you are doing your course is in:

• Hamburg
• Kreis Herzogtum Lauenburg
• Kreis Pinneberg
• Kreis Segeberg
• Kreis Stormarn
• Landkreis Harburg
• Landkreis Cuxhaven

• Kreis Steinburg: Students doing a full-time course of vocational training at the Berufsfachschule III (nursery and preschool teachers with integrated practical training still to be clarified) and other technical colleges, contrary to the ruling in the other administrative districts mentioned above, will be treated as if they were a full-time course at a school and will receive a student transport allowance free of charge."

As an apprentice or trainee, you pay € 29. The difference in price to the hvv Deutschlandticket is paid by your employer,  the City of Hamburg  or the participating administrative district.  

Companies who want to offer the hvv Deutschlandticket to their apprentices/trainees need to participate in the ProfiTicket programme.

If the company where you are doing your course is a participant in the ProfiTicket programme, the hvv Deutschlandticket can be ordered via the ProfiTicket contract person in your company.

Full-time course at a vocational training college

In order to order the hvv Deutschlandticket for apprentices/trainees you will need an entitlement form and the filled out order form for an all-year season ticket. You can either send these two documents by post to the address given to you for the subscription to your all-year season ticket or hand them in at one of our service centres.

We will send you your chipcard with the hvv Deutschlandticket for apprentices/trainees on it to your home address so you don’t have any hassle.

Entitlement form

Entitlement forms for apprentices/trainees are available in our service centres or in the training institutes. The form must be validated by the company or training institute and then confirmed by the relevant Chamber of Industry and Commerce/Crafts and Trade or verifying body. And when you travel by hvv, you should always have it with you.

Season tickets are not transferable.

• For 1 journey: The upgrade fare for 1st class services RB/RE is 2,40 € (valid in fare rings A-F).
• 1 month:  The upgrade fare for 1st class services RB/RE per month is  47,20 €  (valid on the entire hvv network)
