The Federal Government and the governments of the Federal states have agreed on this period in order to make financial relief available to passengers as quickly as possible.

The hvv has already massively increased its services over the past few years (three service offensives in a row!). At the same time, passenger numbers are currently still some 20-25 per cent below the pre-Covid figures. Therefore there should be sufficient space under normal circumstances for additional passengers.

Short-term deployment of additional relief bus and train services together with the necessary personnel will only be possible to a very limited extent.

Children under 6 travel free of charge as always. Children older than 6 years can use the 9 Euro Ticket at the regular price.
