Tickets for students

The SemesterTicket gives you the right to as many journeys as you like in fare rings A-E during the semester printed on the ticket. The area of validity can be expanded by purchasing the appropriate season ticket at one of our service centres. You can take along up to 3 children aged 6 to 14 on a SemesterTicket. Further extra benefits are not included in this ticket. Children under the age of 6 always travel free of charge on hvv services.

Students at the Leuphana Universität Lüneburg will receive a separate SemesterTicket.

Most of the public institutes of higher education in Schleswig-Holstein issue a SemesterTicket valid in the entire federal state to their students.

For those studying full time (but who are not eligible for a SemesterTicket) there are monthly season tickets as well as the all-year season ticket, which is very good value for money, at reduced prices. Monthly and all-year season tickets for students are valid for the calendar month printed on them from 0.00 on the first of the month up to close of services on the last of the month. Extra benefits, such as the right to take other persons along and to use the entire network at weekends at no extra charge, are not included in these tickets. Children under the age of 6 always travel free of charge on hvv services.

When you buy a ticket for a student, you will need to submit a filled out entitlement form. This must be validated by your university or college for students. Personal passes for students are only issued via our service centres. Just bring along a passport photo which shows you to advantage and your entitlement form. The entitlement form for the reduced-price ticket must always be carried together with the ticket.
