Eligible school students with their main home address in Kreis Herzogtum Lauenburg can purchase a hvv Deutschlandticket for € 49 a month* for the transitional period from September 2024 till December 2024 inclusive and can get part of the costs reimbursed. 

Tips on reimbursement:

• You can get a pro rata refund of € 20 per month from the Kreis Herzogtum Lauenburg district council. 
• This reimbursement will only be available if you apply for it and will be paid out retroactively by the Kreis Herzogtum Lauenburg district council, probably from January 2025.

From January 2025 you will need to order a new ticket.  

From January 2025 on, your monthly subsidy of € 20 will be directly set off against the price of your Deutschland-Schulticket. That means you no longer need to apply to your local district council for partial reimbursement  and you do not need to pay it up front yourself. 

This means that you need to cancel your existing hvv Deutschlandticket subscription in good time and place a new order for  your discounted Deutschland-Schulticket (valid all over Germany) for € 29 a month already in autumn. If your new subscription is to be ready to start on 1 January 2025, you must order it by mid-November 2024 at the latest.  

And this is how you do it:
