Park+Ride

Leave your car at a Park+Ride facility and simply get on a train or bus. You can sit back and relax while we  take you into town and you save the hassle of finding somewhere to park. There are something like 160 Park+Ride facilities at rapid transit and regional rail stations across the entire hvv network with upwards of 25,000 parking spaces, accessible 24/7 and often roofed over.

All P+R-parking spaces are marked on our current  U/S/A/R-network plan (1,71 MB) . This is also available in our service centres.

P+R facilities are run by various operators. For this reason there are differences, for instance some facilities charge a fee while others are free. You can always find how much parking costs directly at the facility concerned.

The Park+Ride facilities within the Hamburg city limits are almost entirely operated by P+R-Betriebsgesellschaft and charge a fee. You can find details of the various locations and the number of places still free  by calling up the P+R website (in German).

Two facilities are in addition run by Hamburg local district councils:

  • Friedrichsberg (93 spaces, access via Krausestraße)
  • and Ohlstedt (51 spaces, access via Westerfelde)

The Park+Ride facilities in the regions around Hamburg are operated by the surrounding municipalities as well as by private operators.

Carsharing

It is the ideal complement to bus and rail travel for hvv subscription clients: drive a car without needing to own one!

There is a whole range of carsharing stations in and around Hamburg - often just around the corner from a rapid transit station.

Holders of a general subscription season ticket, the ProfiTicket or a SemesterTicket benefit from special conditions from our strong cooperation partners for carsharing.

You can get out and about in Hamburg and in many other cities with cambio. Just book your car by phone, online or by app – decide on the spur of the moment or way in advance – by the hour, day or week. Without any complications to reserved cars at some 90 stations. Whether it is a compact car, a van, a station wagon a transporter or an eMobil – you will always be driving well looked-after, well-maintained cars with full comprehensive insurance. Particularly attractive in the inner city: when you return the car you can park it at reserved car parks at the cambio stations.

cambio charges at favourable rates by the kilometre and hour driven, and you can terminate your contract monthly. You can find an overview of all the stations, vehicles and rates charged on the cambio website.
You can also fill out the easy online registration form under “How to become a client” in the menu there.

Tip: Holders of an all-year subscription ticket, a ProfiTicket or a SemesterTicket only pay half the registration fee at  cambio, so that they save 15 €.
